Ambre Lelievre

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
She asked
Just anticipating writing this agitates
and irritates
Miss or hit
Will you hear it?

Mexico
where the flame of life was ignited
U.K.
where education began to eat at my mind
Childhood- hate to reminisce
Only pictures you will find
Of an innocence that once was

Strangling obedience, frustrating confusion, restless discovery
It's just a spiral of quickly forgotten ups
and disappearing weighty downs
Teenage hood- What a load of
Scaring anger? abundant.
Aching happiness? lacking.

Happiness, travel and balance
Only one can hope.
Adulthood- a freedom I crave to devour
Only promises insight

But who is to say
that tomorrow
will
come.
When today and yesterday
are enough to say
"I'm done"

  1. I like how you didnt use the words yesterday today tomorrow in your Poem. It gave it a better depth.-Verena
