Animal rights
by Caroline Werner

The elephant is in his freedom
Living the life he deserves, wild awake
But then she leaves her safe area
To get her needs right at the lake.

Her enemies where already waiting,
waiting for her to come into the committee field
It does`t need more then three seconds
And the elephant lies motionless there, just for yield.

Her baby stands there behind the bushes,
totally distraught
unaware of what to do
Now all alone and on his own, but not caught

She wanted to defend herself
She wanted to fight
But they are in the superior number
Nothing to conceal her, cause there is no right

The gun which targets
the big, wonderful elephant
.... boooom!
How I thought, the hunters are so arrogant

The hunters have no respect
They cut the ivory
"We want the ivory, we want the ivory!"
Like she is just an object to take money out, like every.

The elephant lies there, dead
The ivory got cut
She got short changed for money
And all what is left
is her dead body
caused of the shut

Hey baby comes near her,
He is clueless and disturbed
He falls into mourning
If he could talk, he could not even say a word

His thought ; "But, how should I go on?"
Where is the right?!
No matter what
I need to fight"
