Normal
Normal is conforming to a standard,
Usual, typical, or expected,
But normal is much more than that:
Normal is shaking like a leaf
When trying to speak in public,
But also screaming when you see
Lightening, spiders, harrowing heights,
And also dark black nights.
Normal is following the leader,
Doing what they force you to,
But also to bang your face against the table,
Because you didn't keep in touch,
Or because you worked too much.
Normal is saying "it will come",
To that what must be done,
But also to postpone,
Payments, doctors, losing weight,
And then doing it too late.
Normal is no insult,
Neither is it strange,
Normal is understandable,
Isn't it OK?
