When we arrived at the Google building in Zürich we had a presentation about the aim and what Google is doing from Mr. Van Winkel. I learned a lot about Google but the things that I didn’t know before was that Google has so many computers stores in data centers all over the world and how the word was very interesting and new for me. Google has some funny names for their employees they call the „ Googler“. In generell the people that work for Google are really relaxed and calm. On the other hand they have to do a lot of hard work to get a company like Google to work. Google's website for example has to be online 24 hours every day, because many people use it as a start site for their browser or to check their internet connection. The other thing that I learned was that Google takes only half a second to open new websites or videos, otherwise it is getting boring for the consumers and they will close the window. All these facts are very special and I never thought about Google in this way and how much work it is. After that we got a guide who showed us the buildings and the different micro kitchens. These micro kitchens are all designed to a different topic they have a sky lounge or a library micro kitchen for example. All of this, I think, creates a balanced working atmosphere for the Googlers. In overall the trip to Google was very interesting and the micro kitchens were fascinating.
