I am from

 The warm sticky weather

From hating the beach

But living near it

 

I am from the summer afternoons

From climbing trees and going on adventures

All in my fairytale garden

 

I am from the city life I can't remember

And the suburbs which i'm accustomed to

 

I am from staing up all night with a flashlight

Racing to finish books like it was my last day on earth

 

I am from the pitter patter of rain on my window

Curled up on the couch on cold afternoons

 

I am from trying new things but never commiting to them

From refusing to follow the rules

From wanting to be the creme de la creme

From the fear of going to new schools

 

I am from the scenic summers in switzerland

And the long flights back to bermuda

 

I am from loving spelling bee's

and learning my abc's

From the good times I had in school

Never caring if I was cool

 

I am from loving to travel

And wanting the big city lifestyle

I am from always wanting change

 

I am from fearing the future

But never doubting it

Waiting endlessly for the end
