Ballad: Greener World
By: Jaclyn Parris
Honey, Honey
By: Jaclyn Parris
Honey, Honey
Back away from that sea gull!
But he is tangled in a bag
Couldn’t anyone be a bit helpful?
Dear, Dear
Watch out for that rusty can!
Why is there so much garbage?
The world is not a trash can
Child, Child
That is not a shell,
That is an old bottle cap
But how can you tell?
Mommy, Mommy
Let’s go swim
No the water is not clean
The ocean is polluted and grim
Mother, Mother
All over the beach land
Are piles of glass
And tall castles of filthy sand
Uh Oh, can we not see?
The beach is covered in trash
Our world is so bad
It’s just a big garbage patch
I really like your ballad, it makes you open your eyes to how much trash people just throw around without even noticing.
ReplyDeleteI also really like your language skills.
