• The punishment for murder should always be death.
  • I strongly disagree because murder can happen under different contexts. The person could just be defending themselves- due to harassment, they might do it for the good of others- kill a cruel dictator, or they might just do it out of cold blood. Also thats a too forgiving punishment, they don't have to live with the haunting thought of being a murderer. I think the punishment should vary by case, but overall time in jail seems reasonable.

• Teenagers can't understand what true love is.
  • At first I would say agree, because we mistake a source of happiness as a true love. But I actually disagree because this is when you're the most passionate and in need of love and acceptance. So yes I believe that teenagers can find true love. • Killing someone in revenge for killing a close friend of yours is okay.
  • I agree that you should be able to get revenge. I think that it is the most sought out way of closure. But killing them would only bring you to their level, and most probably they will torture themselves with guilt anyways. I think the revenge should only be taken after the murder has felt bad about themselves enough.

• Good friends should stick together at all times no matter how wrong a friend may be.
  • I disagree because after a period of time of your friend being repeatedly wrong or unpleasant there is a limit. People grow apart, some friends are constantly fighting, other constantly fighting for each other. The most important would be to not give up when you haven't tried your hardest. A good friend should be able to leave their friend if they are sick of them.

• Parents should make the decisions about their children's lives.
  • I agree that parents should make the decisions for their child. Assuming that the parents are reasonable. But after a certain age the kid has to make his/her own decision. Also parents should never control their kids life, nor make the decision before the child even is aware of it. I think that parents should let their teenagers decide just as much as they decide for us.

• It is possible to fall in love at first sight.
  • I strongly disagree, sure you may lay eyes on someone and be intrigued. But never will you truly fall in love for them. Only attraction will draw you in, after getting to know them you might. But not at 'first sight'. I honestly thats is just a sappy cliché to transform immediate attraction to something more emotional.

• Telling lies or hiding the truth is acceptable for the right reasons.
  • I agree that hiding the truth is acceptable. For example, throwing a surprise birthday party is not a big secret, nor is planning a marriage proposal. As long as the person your hiding the truth from has the same definition of a 'right reason'. For example, not telling them their partner is cheating on them is not okay.
• Family feuds only affect adults.
  • I strongly disagree it's called a family feud because it affects the whole family. If the adults fight and decide something, the children will grow up with that restraint. How would you explain to your five year old kid that he's not allowed to play in the sand box with X because the families don't like each other? Family feud cause frustration, confusion and unhappiness to all the members of the family.

• There are times where arrange marriage is appropriate.
  • I strongly disagree, no one should be able to decide who your suppose to spend the rest of your life with except you. It doesn’t matter if your learn to love them, it should be your choice. For example, straight people deciding if gays can marry is a form of arranged marriage; they are making it literally illegal for gays to marry the person they want to. In conclusion, it's your choice.

• Each person has a soul mate.
  • Disagree, we all have someone we're meant to be with. But the hole souls finding each other cliché, is exactly that, a cliché.
