Agree
or Disagree Homework Assignment
1.The
punishment for murder should always be death.
I
disagree with this statement. Murder should not be punished with
death if it is justifiable. Self defense would be the main reason
for a justifiable murder; the person could have been protecting
themselves or a family member; they could have been in danger of
being raped or murdered themselves. Also, war is murder but no one
is ever punished for killing someone during it, killing someone in
war can also be justifiable because you have to protect yourself and
your country.

2.Teenagers
can't truly understand what love is.
I
disagree with this statement because even though teenagers can be
immature and can be  anywhere from as young as 13 to as old as 19;
they still understand the concept of true love. This doesn't mean
they are capable of truly feeling it but it simply means that they
understand the concept of it. Also a 19 year old is basically an
adult already and is perfectly capable of feeling true love, as
apposed to a 13-15 year old where that is most likely less capable.

3.Killing
someone in revenge for killing a friend of yours is okay
I
disagree with this. The murder is only justifiable if you had to
defend yourself. Murder out of revenge is still murder, the murderer
never targeted you personally and therefore you wouldn't have cause
to murder them. You would deserve the same punishment as other
unjustifiable murderers. If one of my friends was murdered I would think it's better revenge to see the murderer rot in jail for the rest of their life than kill them and in turn ruin my future.

4.Good
friends should stick together no matter how wrong their friends may
be.
I am
neutral on this statement. This is because it really depends on the
situation. If your close friend does something wrong that is small
and does not have a huge effect on life you should stick with them
and help them through it. For example, if a friend made the wrong
choices in their love life you wouldn't leave them for it, you would
help them get past it. If a friend has mental issues and severely
hurts or murders someone, rapes someone, etc.. it may be a danger to
your health and your family's health to be associated with them. If
they are not stable mentally they can hurt or turn on you and they
should seek mental help to achieve stability. If the murder was
completely justifiable then it should be ok to stay with them.

5.Parents
should make the decisions about their children's lives.
I
disagree with this statement. When the child is small and can't think
or make smart decisions for themselves and their future the parents
should make the decisions for them. Once the child has reached the
age where he has to choose colleges the parents should not make all
the decisions but act more as guidance for their child to help them
choose what path they want to take in life. They should give the
child advice but not try to control their lives because the child
has to decide what he likes and what he wants to do with his future
so if they are forced into it, it could lead to psychological or
other problems. If the child is making a regretful decision, such as
suicide, the parent should step in and force their child to live so
they can fulfill their time on this earth and not have their life
ended due to one phase.

6.It is
possible to fall in love at first sight.
I
strongly disagree with this statement. One person truly feels love
for someone else because of their personality. Physical attraction
and hormones can cause 'lust at first sight' because their
appearance is appealing to someone, even though they don't know
anything about their personality. You can get to know them and fall
in love with them after being physically attracted to them, but that
is still not love at first sight, that is just physical attraction at
first sight.
7.Telling
lies and hiding truth is acceptable for the right reasons.
I agree
with this statement. If the lies are small and don't have a big effect on someones life then they are okay to be told. Telling
someone that the color they are wearing suits them when it actually
doesn't because you don't want to hurt their feelings is just a white
lie. It is okay because it insignificant and just helps to keep the
environment in a happier state then if everyone knew exactly what
everyone else was thinking. If it is a big life changing lie, you
shouldn't tell it because you are playing god on their lives which
is not okay; they should  determine their own future. For example;
never telling someone that you had their baby should not happen and
the father should have the right to know he has a son incase he wants
to see him or not. If the lie can change someones life, don't tell
it.
8.Family
feuds only affect adults.
I
strongly disagree with this statement. If anything it affects the
children more than the parents, because the children look up to them
and follow by their example. Also children are highly sensitive to
their parents fighting, it makes them feel like they have no
stability in their lives which can affect them mentally later in
life and lead to commitment or relationship issues.
9.There
are times when arranged marriage is appropriate.
I am
neutral about this statement. If a small child is married off to an
older person for money but is raped and mistreated, the marriage is
illegal and inappropriate. Though it is inappropriate it may be
NECESSARY in order for the family to survive because they need the
money; and if it's necessary it will happen. If royalty agrees to an
arranged marriage because the next ruler should be chosen carefully
since they have a countries future in their hands, than it is
appropriate. It would be better to have someone capable governing a
country as appose to someone you married out of love but that can
destroy the country.
10.Each
person has a soulmate
I agree
with this situation. This is because a soulmate is someone you feel
true love for, this is possible for everyone because you can fall in
love with more than one person, depending on their personalities and
chemistry with you. Everyone has someone they can fall in love with
but it doesn't mean that they will ever find that person. If someone tries to argue that Asexual people will never find a soulmate this is not true, because Asexual people may not be sexually attracted to someone but they can still have feeling of love towards someone.

Good pictures that fit perfectly the statements. Also your analyses were precises but maybe you should have given more exemples and I find the last exemple of the last statement out of topic, the question is not about being attracted to someone but just having a person who is really similar to yourself.
