Chrysler Commercial

Audience: I think the commercial is targeting the middle - and upper class. It is not a small amount of money that the have to spend and they should think about the investigation first. The commercial is listing all the features that you will have when you buy such a car. They are using words a luxury to convince you to buy it.

Buyologie: It has a famous Rapper as the driver and the speaker in the commercial is listing many historical parts in Detroits industrial past, so that when you life in Detroit that you can get a relation to the car. 


Techniques: The creator is only showing parts of the car and then the car at the very end, so that sou stick on to it until the end. The same with Eminem, you see him as a whole person just at the end. The whole commercial is getting more interesting and better when it is going the end.

1. Audience: Who do you think the commercial is targeting and why?
I think this commercial is targeting the upper class people wanting to buy a new fancy car. I believe this, because Jaguar is a very expensive car brand. I also think that although Jaguar may be considered a car brand for older people, this commercial is targeting the younger sector, as it is a funny reply to a commercial by Mercedes.

2. Buyology: What makes this commercial appealing (interesting to watch)? Why do you like it?
I like this commercial because I like the story behind it. After Mercedes put up a commercial with chickens being able to keep their head perfectly still while their body was moving ("magic body control" - http://youtu.be/nLwML2PagbY), Jaguar responded with this hilarious commercial. We all know that chicken vs jaguar will be won by the jaguar, and this is the perfect commercial to show that.

3. Techniques: What techniques does the creator use to sell the product?
This commercial is a parody of Mercedes' commercial. Because a lot of people already knew that commercial, this a good way to sell the product that Jaguar wants to sell. It also tries to bring Mercedes' product down, although I don't think people will think of Mercedes' products differently after seeing this commercial. I think it wasn't a bad thing for Mercedes, but it definitely was good for Jaguar.

1.      Audience: Who do you think the commercial is targeting and why?
This commercial is targeted on people who live in town and use the car a lot. This is a commercial for a Smart car, which are very small and therefore fit into tiny gaps in parking lots very well. Henceforth, it’s a good idea to sell this car to people with little family life that live in town as well as drive a lot.

3.      Techniques: What techniques does the creator use to sell the product?
This commercial is rather funny. I like it, because it shows the cars weaknesses before presenting the strengths. Despite the fact that this is not a good aspect to put into a commercial, it makes this more appealing in this case. The creator of this advertisement compares the Smart car and an all-terrain vehicicle. While the smart car can’t deal with the rough soil in the dessert, the all-terrain vehicle is rather hard to use in town. This way, the company shows the audience the exact conditions that this car is good for. Due to this rather unusual technique, which makes the advertisement funny, I enjoyed watching it.

          The commercial I have chosen is from Nike Football and it is supposed to target everyone who plays soccer to promote their products. The Commercial is about a bunch of guys playing a casual soccer game where they turn into football superstarts like C. Ronaldo, Neymar, David Luiz etc. The clothes they wear are all from Nike but most importantly the shoes they are wearing are the new Nike Magista shoes that are Revolutionary shoes because they have a sock like part attached to the shoes. I belief it targets everyone who plays football because nobody would need the new shoes if they don´t play football, therefore in my opinion the commmercial is to promote the new shoes.
          The commercial is appealing to watch because it is not only entertaining, everyone who palys football understands what goes on in the players heads. We feel with the players and we feel like we are part of the crow. There are also funny jokes and mistakes in the commercial that are especially made for football players. If you don´t play football you may not understand some of the commercial. It is very entertaining and has a good sense of Humor, also such a type of commercials has never seen before, letting teenagers play with Superstars. This is also a dream of every player, another factor that makes it appealing.
         He uses famous football players to show that even pros use the shoes. This makes you feel that if you get these shoes you can become just as good. He uses the best player in 2014 Cristiano Ronaldo to promote his shoe next to other starts like Neymar, Higuain and David Villa. They all have a lot of supporters who would surely want the shoe of their idol. This makes the commercial efficient because many people who play football would see that they feel very comfortable with the shoe, as a result they would purchase them themselves.

The Force: Volkswagen commercial
1. Audience: Who do you think the commercial is targeting and why?
  •     The audience/target is for the adults with children, or people with a sense of a good quality car for the whole family. Because it's a big, rich car with a lot of space for the whole family, and the new strength which is the whole purpose of the commercial.
2. Buyology: What makes this commercial appealing (interesting to watch)? Why do you like it?
  • Because it's different and cute with the little kid trying to become powerful with his Darth Vader costume. I like it because it has a change and it just shows the care for the child, and cuteness the child is showing in the commercial.
3. Techniques: What techniques does the creator use to sell the product?
  • He starts filming the child from the legs, and continues to focus on him and the disappointment the child is having because his "force power" doesn't work. Until the car arrives and the whole force is shown through the window with the father helping him with the key, without the child knowing. Plus he is adding the sound effect from Darth Vader that gives the commercial more of a rush.

Google Trip
 
 
First we had to check in in the lobby of Google. Everything was very modern and colourful. Then we went to a conference room where we could hear a presentation about the mission of google and a lot about google data centre all around the world. We also learnt hoe google was invented and by who. During the presentation was could ask questions about some products and we also got sweets and drinks. After the presentation we were split in groupes and we could look ate the work places. We saw a lot of resting areas and playgrounds.

Evian & The Amazing Spiderman

1. The targeted audience is parents with children, people which haven't been kids for a while (30+) and Spiderman/Marvel fans.
2. I'm a marvel fan so I really like this collaboration, it's both a great promotion for Evian and for the movie. Instead of a sensational trailer they made it more relevant and light hearted. I also love the aspect of them dancing in the city. Plus, they incorporated pieces related to the movie like the bridge and the shooting of the web.
3. The creator used an icon (Spiderman) to make it more relevant to marvel fans and children. Also dancing is happy, fun which manufactures a feeling of appreciation towards the product.
